Thank you to everyone who helped last week at the Remembrance Day service.
May I ask your help once again this week before we start Advent? We are having a fund-raising sale this Saturday and as much as we need items to be sold, we also need our people to come along and support us.
We try to do this every year, and with your help have raised enough for the Christmas hospitality and parties we give. It also helps to raise much needed funds for this parish, which receives no State support whatsoever. I write that because it is important that we know that each parish is fully self-supporting.
We get some of our costs paid for by the Diocese of London, but are levied also by them to the tune of £10,000 per annum.
So as we reflect on the gospel today let us ask ourselves, how much we value this church and its work. And in these times, can we give some of our time to help it?
The church is the people, we know, but we do need your help to provide those people with a place of worship and of love.
